(please help me to solve the question)
From a class, one-fourth opted to learn German; four-fifths of the
remaining students chose Italian. Two-thirds of the remaining students
decided to learn French and the rest Japanese. If 12 people decided to
learn Japanese, how many of them opted for Italian? (ans= 144 ) please explain​

thus

2/3x=12

3x=2/12=1/6

x=1/18

thus no. of students for italian=4/5(x)=4/5(1/18)=144
