Answer : 8.5 cm is the correct answer


Step-by-step explanation :

1. First to find the distance between the Point A and B, You should follow the simple Geometry. The Geometry will be like that draw a straight line from the center of the circle A.

2. After this, measure the perpendicular distance between the center to the    point connecting a circle of diameter 4 cm. You will find that will be of measure 1.5 cm, because half of 3 cm is 1.5 cm.

3. Than the perpendicular distance from the two ends of circle of radius 2 cm, you will find that of 4 cm.

Hence, total length upto 2 circles will be 5.5 cm.

Than, for the third circle, measures the half distance because Point B is Just upon it. Thus, you will get the required length of 3 cm.

Therefore, Total length AB = 8.5 cm.
