( x + a )( x + b ) = x² + ( a + b ) + ab ]

Here ,

95 × 103

= ( 100 - 5 )( 100 + 3 )

= [ 100 + ( -5 ) ] ( 100 + 3 )

= 100² + ( -5 + 3 )100 + ( -5 )3

= 10000 + ( -2 )100 - 15

=10000 - 200 -15

= 10000 - 215

= 9785

∴ 95 × 103 = 9785
