Let his previous salary be x.

Then:

x + 12% of x = 25760

=> x + (12x/100) = 25760

=> 112x/100 = 25760

=> 112x = 2576000

=> x = 2576000/112

=> x = 23000

Therefore, His previous salary is 23000.
