question

please help me to solve this question

you have to find the area of this polygon

Answer:

  • DIVING THE POLYGON IN 2 PART

one triangle and a rectangle

triangle having::

hypotenuse = 10 cmbase= 18cm -12cm\\         =6cm\\perpendicular= \sqrt{10^{2}-6^{2}  } \\\\                          =8cm

area of triangle

=1/2 *base *height\\1/2 *8*6\\24cm^{2}

now the rectangle having

length=12cm\\and breadth=8cm\\

area of rectangle=

length *breadth\\12*8\\96cm^{2}

area of combined figure= area of rectangle+area of triangle

                                         =96+24\\120 cm^{2}

hence area of polygon is 120 cm^{2}

pls mark me brain

HOPE THIS HELPS U
