HERE'S YOUR ANSWER BUD!

First i divided this fig. into 4 rectangle (check out in fig i attached)

Rectangle 1 -AJZB (length=4, breadth=3)

Rectangle 2-IXYZ (length=2, breadth=1)

Rectangle 3-CYED (length=3, breadth=2)

Rectangle 4-FGHX (length=7, breadth=2)

Ar(Rectangle 1) + Ar(Rectangle 2) + Ar (Rectangle 3) + Ar (Rectangle 4) = Area of whole fig

AREA OF RECTANGLE = LENGTH × BREADTH

Area of Rectangle 1 =12

Area of Rectangle 2=2

Area of Rectangle 3=6

Area of Rectangle 4=14

Area of figure= 12+2+6+14

Area of figure=34
