v ÷ 10 × 6 + 12 = 42

=> v ÷ 10 × 6 = 42 - 12

=> v ÷ 10 = 30 / 6

=> v ÷ 10 = 5

=> v = 5 × 10

=> v = 50

 \sf \: v \div 10 \times 6 + 12 = 42

  \\ \implies \sf  \frac{v}{10}  \times 6 + 12 = 42

  \\ \implies \sf \frac{6v}{10}  + 12 = 42

  \\ \implies \sf \frac{6v}{10}  = 42 - 12 = 30

 \\  \implies \sf \frac{6v}{10}  = 30

 \implies \sf6v = 30 \times 10 = 300

 \implies \sf6v = 300

 \implies \therefore \sf \: v =  \frac{300}{6}  =  \bold{50}
