GIVEN :-

f( x ) = x^2 - 4x + k

Zero of f(x) = 3

TO FIND :- Value of ' k '

SOLUTION :-

Whenever the zero of a polynomial is replace with the variable then the result must be equal to zero.

Hence it becomes,

f(x) =  {x}^{2}  - 4x + k \\  \\ f(3) =  {3}^{2}  - 4 \times 3 + k = 0

Now we shall solve linear equation to get the value of k.

 {3}^{2}  - 12 + k = 0 \\  \\  \\  \implies 9 - 12 + k = 0 \\  \\  \\  \implies  - 3 + k = 0 \\  \\  \\  \implies  \boxed{k = 3}

HENCE THE VALUE OF K is 3
