we know @+b= -b/a

=>-5/2

and

@b=c/a

=>k/2

thus,

(@+b)²=@²+b²+2@b

=>(-5/2)²=@²+b²+2@b

@²+b²+2@b=25/4......(equ 1)

also,

it is given that. @²+b²+@b=21/4. (equ 2)

thus on subtracting (equ 2 from equ 1)

@²+b²+2@b-(@²+b²+@b)=25/4-21/4

=>@b=4/4
