Heya,

f(x)=x^3+2kx^2-5x-7

f(x) is divided by x+1 leaves remainder R1

x+1=0
x=-1
f(-1)=(-1)*(-1)*(-1) + 2*k*(-1)*(-1) - 5*(-1)-7
R1= -1 + 2k - (-5) - 7
R1= -1+2k+5-7
R1= 2k-3

g(x)=x^3+x^2-12x+6k

When g(x) is divided by x-2 ,it leaves remainder R2

x-2=0
x=2

g(2)=2*2*2 + 2*2 - 12*2 + 6k

R2=8+4-24+6k
R2=6k-12

2R1 + R2 - 12 = 0
2k-3+6k-12-12=0
8k-27
k=27/8
k=3.375

#hope it helps...
