1) Case 1: 5 years ago:

Age of Nuri = x - 5 years

Age of Sonu = y - 5 years

It is given that 5 years hence, the age of Nuri was 3 times that of Sonu. Putting it in the form of an equation, we get:

x - 5 = 3(y - 5)

x - 3y = -10 (1)

Case 2: 10 years later:

Age of Nuri = x + 10 years

Age of Sonu = y + 10 years

It is given that 10 years later, the age of Nuri will be 2 times that of Sonu. Putting it in the form of an equation, we get:

x +10 = 2(y + 10)

x - 2y = 10 (2)

We need to solve equation (1) and (2) simultaneously:

(1) x - 3y = -10

(2) x - 2y = 10

Now, in (1), we have:

x = -10 + 3y

Substituting the value of x from (1) in (2), we get:

-10 + 3y -2y = 10

y = 20

y = 20

Putting this value of y in equation (1), we get:

x - 3(20) = -10

x = 50

Hence, the present age of Nuri is 50 years and the present age of Sonu is 20 years.
