Given :-

  • Perimeter = 112 m
  • The length of the rectangle is 16 m less than two times it breadth.

To find :-

  • The length and the breadth of the rectangle.

Solution :-

Let the length of the rectangle be l

And the breadth be b

According to the given problem,

\sf{ l = 2b - 16} \qquad \qquad\qquad (1)

And perimeter = 112m

\sf\implies 2(l + b) = 112

\sf\implies 2(2b - 16 + b) = 112 \qquad (from \: (1))

\sf\implies b \: = 24m \:

And,

\sf\implies l \: = 2 \times 24 - 16

\sf\implies l = 32m \:

Therefore,

Breadth of the rectangle is 24 m .

Length of the rectangle is 32 m .
