1. 1.  N-N  = Repulsion  (Like poles always repel each other)

  2. N-S  = Attraction (Opposite poles attract to each other)

  3. N-S   = Attraction (Opposite poles attract to each other)

  4. S-S    = Repulsion (Like poles always repel each other)

  5. N and iron piece = North pole of the magnet will attract with the South   pole of the magnet.

2. To make an electromagnet, we will need an uncharged metal body (like a piece of iron). We will need to cover the iron piece with a metal wire coiled around it (the more, the better). We should put the two ends of the wire connected to the battery (to let electricity flow through the iron piece). Now, if you take some metal scraps, you can see that they get attracted towards the iron piece (which is now an electromagnet (Refer to attached pic).

3. For this pic, you can name the iron piece as AB.
