In this numerical I have assumed that maximum velocity is attained at the point when acceleration is stopped and deceleration starts.

Also as it is given that at the end of the journey the velocity is zero. ( It is really important, because if they haven't given this then it can be possible that velocity in reverse direction is started in that is the case then I don't think we will can find what is the maximum velocity.)
