GIVEN:

Area of trapezium=91 cm²

height=7

Also, one parallel side is longer than the other side by 8cm

let the sides be x and x+8

TO FIND:

The parallel sides of the trapezium

SOLUTION:

According to the question

Area of trapezium=1/2×(sum of parallel sides)×height

91=1/2*(x+x+8)*7

182=2x+8×7

182/7=2x+8

26=2x+8

26-8=2x

18=2x

18/2=x

9=x

so,

x=9

x+8=9+8=17

so sides are 9 cm  and 17 cm
