Given :

  • 4608

To find :

Smallest number by which 4608 to be multiplied to get perfect cube.

Solution :

Firstly we need to know what is perfect cube.

Perfect cube is a number raised to its third power , in other words prime factor of perfect cube will be in pair of three( power raised to three)

Now , let us firstly find prime factor of 4608

4608 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 ×2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 3

4608 = (2×2×2) × (2×2×2) × (2×2×2) × (3×3)

4608 = (2³)×(2³)×(2³)×(3×3)

From above we can see that , only (3×3) is not in pair of three

Therefore we need to multiply by 3 , to make it perfect cube

ANSWER :

Smallest Number by which 4608 should be multiplied to get perfect cube = 3

Note -

4608 × 3 = (2³)×(2³)×(2³)×(3×3)×3

4608 × 3 = (2³)×(2³)×(2³)×(3×3×3)

13824 = (2³)×(2³)×(2³)×(3³)

Now , we can see that 13824 is a perfect cube
