please help me with this question divide 200 into two parts such that one fourth of one part exceeds one 12 of the other part by 14​

x/4 - y/12 = 14 ........ eq. 1

x + y= 200 .............. eq. 2

by solving eq. 1 we get:-

3x - y = 168 .............eq. 3

now adding eq. 2 & eq. 3 we get:-

x = 92

put the value of x in any eq. we find

y = 108

these are your answer
