Answer:

Length of ladder =13 m.

BC=12m,AC=13 m.

In ΔABC,

AB2+BC2=C2         (Pythagoras theorem)

AB²=AC²−BC²

=132−122

=169−144

=25

∴AB=5 m.

The distance of the foot of the ladder from the base of the wall =5 m

I.e the crane is 5m far
