Look, we have to find the point of intersection of the two graphs, right?
Then proceed like this,
y= sinx
y= cosx
as they meet,
∴sinx = cosx
⇒tanx = 1
and, x∈ [0,π/2]
∴x = 45° or π/4
putting this in any of two equation,
y =sin(π/4) = 1/√2
so the co-ordinate of the point is (π/4,1/√2)
Abscissa= X- co-ordinate
Ordinate = Y- Co-ordinate
So, abscissa of the point will be π/4
B) π/4
Then proceed like this,
y= sinx
y= cosx
as they meet,
∴sinx = cosx
⇒tanx = 1
and, x∈ [0,π/2]
∴x = 45° or π/4
putting this in any of two equation,
y =sin(π/4) = 1/√2
so the co-ordinate of the point is (π/4,1/√2)
Abscissa= X- co-ordinate
Ordinate = Y- Co-ordinate
So, abscissa of the point will be π/4
B) π/4
