Please help me with this sum . I HAVE GOT THE ANSWER BUT I ONLY VERIFY​

Let the fraction be x/y

then  x + y = 10 -> y =10-x

and

     $\frac{x+1}{y+1} = \frac{1}{2}$

   2x+2= y+1

   2x = y-1

   2x = 10 -x -1

   3x = 9

    x =3

  y=7

The required fraction is 3/7
