2. List all the common factors of the following: (i) 12,18,21 (ii) 20,40,35 (iii) 16,18,7


3. Write all prime numbers between 70 and 90.


4. Write the following numbers as a product of their prime factors:


(i) 70


(ii) 105

1) 63 and 70 are the multiples.

2) (i) 12= 2*2*3

18=2*3*3

21=3*7 the common factor is 3

(ii) 20=2*2*5

40=2*2*2*5

35= 5*7 the common factor is 5

(iii) 16= 2*2*2*2

18= 2*3*3

7=1*7 the common factor is 1

3) the prime numbers lying between 70 and 90 are 71, 73, 77, 79, 83 and 89.

4) (i) Factors of 70: 1, 2, 5, 7, 10, 14, 35, 70. Prime factorization: 70 = 2 x 5 x 7

(ii) Factors of 105: 1, 3, 5, 7, 15, 21, 35, 105. Prime factorization: 105 = 3 x 5 x 7.

(iii) the prime factors of 91 are 7, 13. Therefore, the product of prime factors = 7 × 13 = 91.
