The key features of the Indian Constitution are as follows:

1. It allows coordination and assurance.

2. It clarifies the power of decision makers.

3. It puts limitations on the powers of government.

4. It enables the government to fulfill the aspirations of a people and lay foundations of a just society. etc.

Fundamental duties were incorporated in the constitution by the 42nd amendment in 1976. They are in chapter IV-A , article 51A of the constitution.

Some of them are as follows:

1. to abide by the constitution and respect it's ideals and institutions, the National Flag and the National Anthem;

2. to cherish and follow the noble ideas which inspired the national struggle for freedom;

3. to uphold and protect the sovereignty, unity and integrity of India;

4. to defend the country in render national service when called upon to do so ;

5. to promote harmony and the spirit of common brotherhood amongst all the people of India transcending religious , linguistic and regional or sectional diversities to renounce practices derogatory dignity of women.

1. United Kingdom constitution : cabinet system.

2. United States Constitution : fundamental rights, role of vice president.

3. Weimar constitution of Germany : emergency powers to be enjoyed by the Union.

Australian constitution : freedom of interstate trade.

hence, the Indian Constitution is known as the bag of borrowings.
