Given angle A = angle CED
angle C = angle C (common)
=> ∆CAB ~ ∆ CED (AA)
we know that the ratio of corresponding sides are equal in similar triangles
=> CE/CA = DE/AB
=> 10/(8 + 7) = x/9
=> 10/15 = x/9
=> x = 10/15 × 9
=> x = 90/15
=> x = 6 cm
Hope it helps dear friend ☺️✌️✌️
