Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

 { ({a}^{m}) }^{n}  =  {a}^{mn}

so

 ({ ({ \frac{4}{3} )}^{2} )}^{ - 1}  =  {( \frac{4}{3} )}^{ - 2}

and we know that

 {a}^{ - n}  =  \frac{1}{ {a}^{n} }

so

 { \frac{4}{3} }^{ - 2}  =  \frac{1}{ { (\frac{4}{3} )}^{2} }  =  {( \frac{3}{4}) }^{2}

=9/16
