Question :- In case of turning on the road, will the velocity and speed be same?

If Sachin changes the direction of the motorcycle keeping its speed constant, what will be the effect on the velocity?

Answer :-

No, the speed and velocity will not be the same. While turning, direction of motion changes. Changing the direction of the motion, velocity will change though the speed may or may not. Hence, speed will not be the same as velocity.

If Sachin changes the direction of motorcycle even keeping his speed constant, still the velocity will change. We know velocity is the speed in a particular direction. Hence, changing direction will always change velocity, doesn't matter whether speed is constant or not.
