you must learn the formula / definition of atleast fundamental quantities.

suppose you have to find the dimensional formula of force,

so you must remember that

force = mass * acceleration

now,

by definition of acceleration I.e velocity/time

you can find its dimensional formula. ....of acceleration and force as well.
