✪ Solution :-

  • Let the cost of one Senior Ticket be ' x '
  • And let the cost of one Child Ticket be ' y '

➛ According to the 1ˢᵗ condition :-

3x + 3y = $69 ..... ( i )

According to the 2 condition :-

5x + 3y = $91 ...... ( ii )

Subtract eq. ( i ) from ( ii ) :-

\large\textsf{$\: \: \: \: \: \: \: 5x + \cancel{3y} = 91$ }\\\large\textsf{$( - )\: \: \: \:  3x + \cancel{3y} = 69$}\\\large\textsf{-------------------------}\\\large\textsf{2x \: \: \: = 22}\\\\\\\large\textsf{$x = \cfrac{22}{2}$}\\\\\\\large\textbf{x = 11}

Substituting the value of ' x ' in eq. ( i ) :-

\large: \: \Longrightarrow\textsf{3 ( 11 ) + 3y = 69}\\\\\\\large: \: \Longrightarrow\textsf{33 + 3y = 69}\\\\\\\large: \: \Longrightarrow\textsf{3y = 69 - 33 }\\\\\\\large: \: \Longrightarrow\textsf{$\cancel\cfrac{36}{3}$}\\\\\\\large: \: \Longrightarrow\textbf{y = 12 }

Cost of one Senior Ticket = $11

Cost of one Child Ticket = $ 12

✪ Solution :-

  • Let the cost of one Tulip Bulb be ' x '
  • And let the cost of one Daffodil Bulb be ' y '

➛ According to the 1ˢᵗ condition :-

6x + 12 y = $198 ......( i )

According to the 2 condition :-

7x + 6y = $127 .......( ii )

Multiply eq. ( ii ) by ' 2 ' :-

↦ 2 ( 7x + 6y ) = 2 × 127

14x + 12y = 254 .......( iii )

Subtract eq. ( i ) from ( iii ) :-

\large\textsf{$\: \: \: \: \: 14x +\cancel{12y} = 254$ }\\\large\textsf{( - ) $\: \: \: 6x + \cancel{12y} = 198$}\\\large\textsf{---------------------}\\\large\textsf{8x\: \: \: \:  = 56}\\\\\\\large\textsf{$ x = \cancel\cfrac{56}{8}$}\\\\\\\large\textbf{x = 7 }

Substitute the value of ' x ' in eq. ( i ) :-

\large : \: \Longrightarrow\textsf{6 ( 7 ) + 12y = 198}\\\\\\\large: \: \Longrightarrow\textsf{42 + 12y = 198}\\\\\\\large: \: \Longrightarrow\textsf{12y = 198 - 42 }\\\\\\\large: \: \Longrightarrow\textsf{$y = \cfrac{198}{42}$}\\\\\\\large: \: \Longrightarrow\textbf{y = 13}\\\\\\

Cost of one Tulip Bulb = $7

Cost of one Daffodil Bulb = $13
