Please Help!!!!
Write a comparative analysis of “Homer Invoking the Muse” in The Iliad and “A Maiden’s Lament.” Your analysis should identify the similarity and differences in topic in just a sentence or two. Your main task is to compare the structures of each poem and identify and explain how they are alike and different. Your essay should be about one page long. It is a formal explanatory piece of writing, so should not include “I” or “you” because your topic is what the authors are doing.

Answer:
What similarity in theme do "A Maiden's Lament" and "Homer Invoking the Muse" from The Iliad both have in common? Both Chryses in The Iliad the narrator in "A Maiden's Lament" have lost a loved one. Read the excerpt from "Spring and Autumn." So think the herbs I cannot pluck my fill.but the Muse one calls when writing an epic poem is Calliope because epic poetry is her sphere. This invocation, or calling to the Muse, is considered to be a convention of epic poetry because it is typical for the poet to request such assistance at the beginning of epic poems
