Hey there!

The Brook is a poem written by Alfred Lord Tennyson. The Brook starts out from the dwelling place of birds such as coot and herns. The presence of sunlight makes the water sparkle as it flows. The sound of the brook resembles to that of people quarrelling. That is why the phrase "Bicker down the valley" Is used. It flows over thirty hills and half a hundred bridges (50 bridges). The phrase "Men may come nd men may go, but I go on forever" is used to give a rhythmic pattern to the poem.

In other words,

The poem has been compared to that of a human's life. The Brook keeps on flowing no matter whatever comes in its way. The same way, we have to come over the obstacles ahead of us and move forward to be successful in our life.

Hope this helps...!
