Each bacteria will divide after 20 minutes. After twenty minutes we will have ten bacteria. For the next twenty minutes, all these ten bacteria will divide, and there will be 20 bacteria, and the same process goes on.

For one, bacteria.

After 20 minutes, the count becomes = 2

After 40 minutes, the count becomes = 4

After 80 minutes, the count becomes = 8

There is a geometric progression.

We can have,

Bacteria count corresponding to each bacteria = 2*2*2...(n times)

where n = total time in minutes/ 20 minutes.
