My sympathies were with the grasshopper and for some time I never saw an ant without putting The other day when I saw my friend George Ramsay taking lunch by himself in a restaurant, the fable again came to my mind. I had never seen anyone in such deep gloom. He looked as though the burden of the whole world sat on his shoulders. I was sorry for him.
