Step-by-step explanation:

✓2+✓2+✓2+..........✓2(1+cos theta)

Firstly just take the innermost root

ie ✓2(1+cos theta)

=✓2(2cos^2 theta/2) =2 cos theta/2 As we know that (1+cos x= 2 cos^2 x/2)

Now take the second last root,

ie ✓2(1+cos theta/2)

=✓2(2cos^2 theta/4)=2 cos theta/4

More over, we can write the base 2,4,8,16.......2^n as

= 2^1,2^2,2^3,2^4.......2^n

Similarly when these steps are repeated for n times ie till the last term, will give the answer as:

=(2 cos theta)/(2)^n (where n is the no. of terms)
