Step-by-step explanation:

First answer

Expanding

x²(x-2)

= x³- 2x²

How?

Because we simply multiply x² with x as well as 2 to get the answer.

Second Answer

Expanding and Simplifying

4(p+5)+7(p-2)

= 4p+20 +7p-14

= 11p+6

is the result we get by simplifying the equation.

How?

We multiply 4 with p and 5 and in second one we multiply 7 with p and -2.

Then we add the like terms to get the resultant.

Required Information

  • While solving these equations always use Distributive property to get the result.
  • Use BODMAS to get the correct result.
  • Sum up the like terms at the last to get the result.

What is BODMAS?
