Answer:

Napoleon is considered partially of a heroic figure in France. This is justifiable: until his downfall Napoleon overturned the Reign of Terror and unstable leadership of the Provisional Government He successfully fought a series of wars against various European coalitions defeating most of them. He revolutionised and modernised the army, and introduced economic reforms that still exist in France today. You could argue that Napoleon was post-Revolution, but the fact is that he still altered the direction of the revolution, and managed to secure most of the gains without any Terror. (Excusing his re-introduction of slavery abroad and the fact that he was essentially a dictator.

Answer: Maximilian Robespierre was the leader of Jacobins club which was the most successful political club formed after 1789. After the abolition of monarchy he was the ruler of the French republic from 1793 to 1794. This period is referred  to as the reign of terror. He adopted a policy of severe control punishment.  His government placed a maximum ceiling on wages and prices. Churches were shut down and their buildings were converted into barracks and offices. Equality was practiced through forms of speech.  But he pursued his policy so relentlessly that even his own members were against him..
