Thrice a number is greater than 2/3 the number by 49. Find the number. ???/?

now 3x = (2/3)x + 49
for simplicitys sake I'll take 2/3= 0.66
this gives
3x= 0.66x + 49
taking x on one side we get
2.33x = 49
x= 49/2.33 = 21
