Both are triangles so to find area use the formula : 1/2 * base * corresponding height.

the first triangle : BAD the base is 14 cm and height is 5 cm (AL) using the formula it will  be 1/2 * 14 * 5

the answer would be 35 square cm.

the second triangle : BCD the base is 14 cm and height is 7 cm (MC) using the formula it will be 1/2 * 14* 7

the answer would be 49 square cm.

adding the area of both the triangles will give the area of the entire polygon so triangle 1 + triangle 2 = 35 + 49 = 84 square cm.
