On October 4, we all were decorating our house to celebrate the most long awaited festival, Diwali. My heart was filled with excitement to meet my father after a long gap of six years. But a call from the headquarters left me stunned. Through the call we were informed that my father had been sent with the troops to the border as enemy invasion was expected during festival. My father had been give the charge of the mission.I didn't know how to react. I was terror-stricken for the worst might happen but deep within I was feeling proud of my father. I prayed to God to make the mission successful. The whole day we were setting in front of the TV and watching the news. At the evening there was a news that my father and his battalion had defected the enemy successfully. We were sad because many of our soldiers lost their lives. I received a phone call in the evening from my father. He wished me happy Diwali. It was indeed a 'happy Diwali' for me though my father was miles away from me yet U was happy and contented only after talking to him. He informed that he would be with us by the end of the month. All my family members were happy. I just thought 'All is well that ends well'
