Explanatìon:

1) Introduction of greased Cartridges , i.e, Cartridges of new en field rifles which were greased using the fat of Cow and pig. affected the religious sentiments of People. Since, the Cow was worshiped by Hindus and Pigs were considered forbidden by Muslims .

2) Due to expansionist policies of British many of the Indian rulers were divested from their states and their states were annexed. That's is why these policies Created panic among Indian rulers.

3) Due to the Machine made goods of Britain which were in demand due to their low costs and quality , Trade and Industries in India began to decline.

4) British used India as a source of raw materials because of the low costing workers and enriched Land that made it convenient for British to Use the Raw material for making products and Turning India into a purely agricultural country.

5) Higher positions and Posts in the Army were reserved for the British. This was like a discrimination and unfairness for Indian Sepoys. which gave rise to professional discontentment among the sepoys.
