Vector OA and vector OB are perpendicular and equal magnitude.

so, their resultant will be along angle bisector of angle AOB ..i.e. along OC.

and magnitude of their resultant = √2 R

so, |OA + OB| = √2 R ...... (i)

now,

|OC| = R ........ (ii)

since, Vectors (OA + OB) and OC are along line OC...

hence,

| OA + OB + OC | = √2 R + R = (√2 + 1)R ....ans...
