Answer:

Answer:

  • Height of the image,hi=3cm

Given:

  • Height of the object,ho=2cm
  • Focal length of the mirror,f=12cm
  • Object distance,u=20cm
  • Radius of curvature,R=24cm

To find:

  • Height of the image,ho=?

Solution:

From the mirror equation,

1/f=1/u+1/v

1/12=1/20+1/v

1/v=5-3/60

1/v=2/60

v=30cm

When the object placed between f and c then the image will get beyond c.

The image is real and inverted.

so,

Magnification,m=v/u=hi/ho

30/20=hi/2

3/2=hi/2

hi =3cm

So, Height of the image=3cm
