Answer:

Here you go

Step-by-step explanation:

we can divide this Pentagon into a trapezium as well as a triangle.

the area of the trapezium +the area of triangle is the area of trapezium.

it is given that angle B is 90° hence the area of triangle is half base ×height which is

1/2×3×4 which is 6cm^2

now moving towards the area of trapezium

we have to construct here a diagonal joining AD again we will obtain 2 triangles named AED and ADC

since angle E is 90° similarly as above done we can calculate the area

we will get it as 3sq. cm

to find the area of triangle ADC

As it cannot be calculated by the above formula we can solve it by using Heron's formula to calculate the area of triangle.

to apply this we will need the length of all the sides of the triangle we have given the length of side DC as 6cm

sides AD and AC can be calculated by. using Pythagoras theorm in triangles AED and ABC respectively

which are AD =√11 and AC =5

Heron's formula is shown in the pic

Calculate it then add all the areas which we have found out

U will be with your answer

I know it's correct method but if there's anything missing then let me know abt it. I will correct myself.

hope u will be with your answer.
