please please help...

martha bought a t-shirt, at $50 each, then she bought a hat for $70 and a pair of shoes for $180. She also bought a skirt, but she does not

remember the price.

If the average price per item was $120, find the price of the skirt.

($50+$70+$180+price of skirt)/4 =average price=$120

hence $50+$70+$180+x=$120*4=$480

hence x=$480-($50+70+180)=$360

hence price of skirt is 360

rbf166: $480-($50+70+180)=$180 not 360?
rbf166: can you check again?
merida42: $480-$300=$180
merida42: please write it down and do the calculations on a paper if your doubt persists
