(a)is an eye defect as an image is not forming in retina. it is forming in front of it. the defect is myopia.
it can be corrected by using a concave lens.

i am not sure but i dont know about b.....as much as i know b is not a defect
it's Hypermyopia
i dont think so beacuse image is being formed in retina
and i dont know about a term as hypermyopia.
there are two defects which i know is myopia and hypermetropia
