(i) Two triangles are congruent if two angles and the sides included between them in one of the triangles are equal to the two angles and the sided included between them of the other triangle. This is known as the ASA.

(ii) If all three angles of a triangle are respectively equal to that other triangle, the triangle may not be congruent.

(iii) In congruence condition RHS, 'H' stands for hypotenuse

(iv) Two rectangles are congruent if they have same diagonals and sides.

(v) Two squares are congruent if they have same sides.

(vi) The relation of two objects being congruent is called CPCT.

Additional Information :)

Congruence of Triangle

If we suppose one triangle over other triangle and they cover each other properly, then they must be congruent triangles.

In the case of congruent triangles -

  • All the side of one of the triangle should be equal to the corresponding sides of another triangle.
  • All the angles of one of the triangle should be equal to the corresponding angles of another triangle.
  • All the vertices of one of the triangle should be corresponding to the vertices of another triangle.
