(a). This passage tell us about the value of land i.e. land is very useful to us in farming, making our homes, making factories, and hospitals etc. We live on land and also get food from land through farming, that's why land is very important thing for us.
(b). The British for whom more land meant more revenue. They built embankments, causeways and filled up low-lying lands and marshes by levelling down hills. They completed the Hornby Vellard project and get 700 acres of land.Yes, land is very valuable today in Mumbai.
(c). Land Reclamation is the process of creating new land from the sea.
The example of the Land that can be Reclaimed are :-
• The first major land reclamation were carried out in the 1970s, when the Port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands was extended ( OSPAR,. 2008a ). This was the start of the modern era of land reclamation, which rapidly spread around the world.
