putting this in equation 1, we get

=> x = (2640 × 25)/22

=> x = Rs 3000 => CP = Rs 3000

to gain 12% profit, SP = CP + 12% of CP

=> SP = 3000 + 3000 × 12/100

=> SP = Rs 3360

so shopkeeper should sell the article at Rs 3360
