Hola ! Your answer follows :

Given condition : The SP of 12 cycles = CP of 15 cycles

Let the CP of each be rs x

CP of 12 cycles = rs 12x .Then,

SP of 12 cycles = CP of 15 cycles = rs 15x

Here,S.P > CP , so its a gain .

Gain = SP - CP = 15x-12x = rs 3x

Now,gain percent = Gain/CP * 100 = 3x/12x*100 = 25%

Answer : Hence, there is a gain of 25%.

 \textbf {Hey there, here is the solution.}

.............................................................................................
The selling price of 12 cycles is equal to the cost price of 15cycles:

Cost Price = 15 cycles

Selling Price = 12 cycles

.

STEP 1: Find the loss:

Since the selling price is less that the cost price, it is a loss.

Loss = 15 - 12 = 3 cycles

.............................................................................................

STEP 2: Find the percentage loss:

Percentage loss = 3/15 x 100 = 20%

.............................................................................................

Answer: The loss is 20%
