Transitive verbs are those which require an object to complete its meaning. they don't make sense without one.

an intransitive verb does not need an object to complete its meaning.

so in these sentences,

1) transitive verb: killed   object: snake

2) intransitive verb: sank  

3) transitive verb: jumped object: well

4) intransitive verb: spoke

5) intransitive verb: rose

6) transitive verb: broke   object: plates

7) transitive verb: lasted  object: hour

8) transitive verb: costs  object: five rupees

i'm doubtful for a couple of these, so please let me know if i've got something wrong
