a doctors journal entry has the main theme
*Futility of war
the bombing of Hiroshima not only killed thousands of people but also ripped humanity.the deaths and sufferings shunned people all around the world.Though the people were in agony(both physical and mental), they were silent. This silence was not limited only to Hiroshima but the entire world itself. It also shows the willpower of Japanese and how they do not give up even in such deadly situation.Though the doctor was injured, his priority was attending his staff and people who needed help.he could not move his legs but his mind was running forward.hence poem also shows a sense of duty as a theme and never giving up in any situation
