 \frac{4}{x}  + 5y = 7 \\ x =  -  \frac{4}{3} \\  \frac{4}{( -  \frac{4}{3}) }   + 5y = 7 \\  -  \frac{4 \times 3}{4}  + 5y = 7 \\  - 3 + 5y = 7 \\ 5y = 7 + 3 \\ 5y = 10 \\ y =  \frac{10}{5}  \\ y = 2
